This is absolutely True. I was never good at trading shots. I didn't go for power weapons in my games. And winning in a direct 1 on 1 confrontation was coin flip at best playing against a similarly skilled players. What I did do, was out think my opponents in real time. There are a lot of grease monkeys out there that only focus on the visual stimulation and tactile point and shoot. And although they do that very well, there's no amount of laser-like focus you can do when I put you into an unwinnable position before you even know its coming.

I came to the same conclusion once I started playing again, I used to spend forever practicing sprays but then would struggle adapting to unique situations. CS in my opinion depends on mindset/game sense more than muscle memory. I think people also hinge too much on pro strategies without realizing they cant even use them as effectively as just playing comfortably with what they can do

I’m in Europe on a trip, and got to play my first European matchmaking. It didn’t seem much different to American/Na matchmaking other than the screaming Russians and that the teammates weren’t as toxic. Other than the Russians, of course.

i remember played csgo with 100+ ping all shots still hit , on cs2 nah too laggy

I remember when I could play fine on JP servers from Australia and be fine on like 120ms. Subtick has ruined high ping games entirely. Cannot play with international friends now until they fix it.

Its the server region. If u are not in europe and playing on a european server u will have high ping bc ur too far from the servers. I live about 50km from helsinki and i have 8 - 30 ping all the time
